Owl Zentange Pen & Ink Watercolor

My after school art class did some adorable owl "zentangle" pen & ink watercolor paintings today.  The girls did an awesome job!  I showed them two different ways to draw their basic owl shapes, then let them fill in with random patterns.  Once they finished inking their drawings, I showed them how to do a wet-on-wet blending technique with watercolors.  They turned out beautifully!

Funky Feathered Friends Fabric

Here is my entry for this week's Spoonflower contest.  The theme is birds and it has a limited palette of 4 colors (black, white, light blue, and artist choice).  I have wanted to do a whimsical owl fabric for a while now so this seemed the perfect opportunity to have some fun!
